WLBL Turkey Trot Scrimmage Schedule

Uniforms

For the Turkey Trot, we are using PINNIES that will be at the gym. Most gyms will have the reversible Maroon/White pinnies. As long as one team has on pinnies to clearly differentiate the teams then you can play, OR, if you want to have your team just wear the same color shirt, home teams should wear white/light color and away team should wear black/dark colored shirts.

About Turkey Trot

Grades: 3rd-8th grades

These are just 'scrimmages'. The intention is to give everyone an extra practice spot to have a full designated time to "hit the floor" as a team versus another team for the first time.

Scrimmages start at the designated time and must stop before the designated END time.

Game Format

• All games are 4 Quarters, 8 minute running clock
• Clock only stops for timeouts
• Each team gets ONE timeout per quarter
• Score is not kept
• No overtime - Games must end by their designated end time which is 45 mins from start

Officials/Officiating

This weekend is used by officials for training. All training is done at Harmony Main/Aux gym.

This means Blue Ridge, Ken Culbert and Round Hill games do not have league designated officials. These games should be officiated by coaches or a volunteer parent.

Since these are scrimmages, the intent is to run it much like you would a scrimmage after practice versus another team. Use the time to correct mistakes and teach.
